September 19 marks the start of a historic harvest at Château d'Issan with the first harvest of 4 white grape varieties: Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne and Rolle. This 1.7 hectare plot is located in the heart of our Clos d’Issan vineyard on the 45th parallel north.
Breeding is currently underway. We chose 3 different containers: a ceramic egg with a capacity of 225l, Bordeaux barrels of 225l and 400l. The first fermentations are already finished and the fruity and balanced profile of this wine is very promising! Breeding will continue until the beginning of next year.
Its name: Jardin d’Issan
The name of this cuvée symbolizes both the confidential size of the plot (1.7 hectares), the diversity of grape varieties that are produced (Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier and Rolle) as well as its location, located between the biodiversity reserve and the historic vineyard of Issan. The label will be revealed during Primeurs in April 2025.
